Kraft Heinz Appoints Angel Shelton Willis as New Global General Counsel and Corporate Affairs Officer.

Kraft Heinz Co. has announced the appointment of Angel Shelton Willis as its new global general counsel and corporate affairs officer, effective November 18. Shelton Willis, who previously served as general counsel for Sealed Air Corp., will succeed Rashida La Lande, who recently moved to Estée Lauder Cos. The new legal chief will report to CEO Carlos Abrams-Rivera and is expected to bring strategic vision to the role.

Shelton Willis expressed excitement about joining Kraft Heinz during a pivotal time for the company and industry. Her appointment comes as Kraft Heinz faces challenges related to climate change, particularly affecting crops used in key products like Heinz ketchup. The company owns several notable brands, including Grey Poupon, Maxwell House, Oscar Mayer, and Philadelphia Cream Cheese.

Both Shelton Willis and her predecessor, La Lande, are members of the Black General Counsel Initiative, which aims to increase the number of Black legal chiefs in Fortune 1000 companies. Shelton Willis has been an advocate for diversity and inclusion in the legal industry and corporate world.
