Paul Hastings Expands Employment Practice with Four Partners from Baker McKenzie.
Paul Hastings has strengthened its employment law capabilities by hiring a group of four partners from Baker McKenzie. Partners Paul Evans, Krissy Katzenstein, Blair Robinson, and Jeffrey Sturgeon will join the firm's New York office, bringing expertise in complex workplace litigation, including equal pay issues, discrimination, employee benefits, and wage and hour matters.
The addition of these partners is expected to enhance Paul Hastings' ability to represent clients at high levels on sophisticated and complex employment issues. The move was described as "organic" by Evans and Katzenstein, who cited their previous collaborations with Paul Hastings as a foundation for the transition.
The new team is currently focusing on advising clients on pay equity and transparency, as well as potential changes in employment law due to the upcoming U.S. presidential election. They are also assisting companies in navigating the complex landscape of generative artificial intelligence use in hiring processes, addressing the patchwork of state and local laws governing AI in employment.
