Winston & Strawn Welcomes Tax Partner James Saeli to New York Office.

Winston & Strawn LLP has announced the addition of James ("Jamie") Saeli as a partner in their New York office's Transactions Department and Tax Practice. Saeli specializes in the tax aspects of real estate finance, particularly mortgage-backed securitization and real estate investment conduits (REMICs). His expertise extends to providing federal income tax guidance for various real estate finance transactions, including commercial and residential mortgage securitization offerings with complex tax structures.

Saeli's experience also encompasses tax advice on financing master servicing rights, servicer advance facilities, and home equity improvement investment facilities. Additionally, he has advised clients on securitization and financing transactions for credit cards, auto loans, student loans, and other non-real estate commercial lending.

As a veteran of the United States Air Force, Saeli continues to be actively involved in the veteran community, providing pro bono representation to veteran clients before the Veterans Administration. His addition to Winston & Strawn is expected to strengthen the firm's structured finance practice and contribute to the growth of its New York office.
