Kirkland & Ellis Expands Structured Finance Team with Two New Partners.

Kirkland & Ellis has significantly bolstered its structured finance and structured private credit practice by adding two new partners. Jared Axelrod, formerly of Milbank, will spearhead the firm's collateralized loan obligation (CLO) practice. Suril Patel, previously with the legal AI startup Harvey, joins as the first structured finance lawyer in Kirkland's London office.

These strategic hires are part of a larger expansion effort that has seen Kirkland's structured and private credit team triple in size since May. The move reflects the firm's commitment to strengthening its capabilities in these specialized areas of finance law.
