Nixon Peabody Expands Public Finance Tax Capabilities with New West Coast Partner Brian Organ.
Nixon Peabody has bolstered its public finance tax capabilities by adding Brian Organ as a partner in the Project Finance and Public Finance practice at their San Francisco office. Organ brings extensive experience in Section 103 tax matters, focusing on tax-exempt and tax-advantaged financings for various industries including cultural institutions, education, healthcare, and infrastructure.
The firm's public finance tax team now includes attorneys with experience from the US Treasury Department and Internal Revenue Service. This expansion, which also includes the recent addition of Section 103 tax associate Brandon Caywood, strengthens Nixon Peabody's ability to advise clients on IRS rulings, audits, regulations, and other related matters.
Virginia Wong, leader of the firm's Project Finance and Public Finance practice, emphasized that Organ's arrival aligns with their strategy to build a diverse and talented team capable of addressing clients' complex future needs.
