HFW Hires Construction Disputes Specialist Sean Marriott from Clifford Chance in Perth.

HFW has expanded its construction practice by recruiting Sean Marriott, a disputes specialist from Clifford Chance, as a partner in their Perth office. Marriott, who will join HFW next month, brings eight years of experience from Clifford Chance and specializes in construction disputes and international arbitration across various sectors including oil and gas, mining, power, renewables, and public infrastructure.

Marriott's background as an engineer before becoming a lawyer adds valuable expertise to HFW's service offering in Australia. His dual admission in Australia and England & Wales, along with his experience practicing in both London and Perth, enhances his ability to handle complex cases. Gavin Vallely, managing partner for HFW Australia, highlighted Marriott's engineering background and experience in both construction and maritime disputes as particularly beneficial for clients involved in offshore projects, decommissioning, shipbuilding, and offshore wind ventures.
